Our Pastor
Derek was raised in the northern McMinn County Tennessee, and he has served in various roles in several churches before coming to serve as our pastor in April of 2007.
He is a 1999 graduate of Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY with a B.A. in Ministry and a 2003 graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC with a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages. Derek is presently pursuing a Ph. D. in Leadership with a concentration in Ministry at Temple Baptist Seminary of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN.
Our Pastor has a passion for the expository preaching and teaching of the Word of God. He fervently encourages believers to always be involved in missions work locally, nationally and internationally. He is actively involved in sharing the gospel and leading people to faith in Christ, and he enjoys helping others in their growing relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Derek and his wife, Christy were married in 1993, and they have three beautiful children.
